A L I V E !

Conscience! One word which separates the humane from inhumane. The most probably overlooked aspect of humanity in this fast paced world of recent times where we are oriented to understand that taking the life of a fellow human being is fair enough to induce wealth. It is with this same facet of humanity which allows every being to control the dragon which thrives in us, waiting to be fuelled by rage to act upon the one who “offended” the form in which it is contained. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that”. Words articulated by Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Could societal changes be the slow poison to our conscience?
There has come a moment in almost everyone’s life where we paused for a micro second into thinking things through before unleashing the dragon in us. The impulsive moment where we felt unleashing the dragon would have felt a lot good but just that one tiny cry from within brought all the melodrama to a halt. We have at one point or another heard this credence that, the quiet ones are the most dangerous. Being from home or school, the workplace or church. Could it imply that the quiet ones have “bigger dragons” within them of which by just more than one irritating push, causes an unanticipated flare-up? Conceivably, could it also be that those with anger related issues rather have “small but highly responsive dragons”? Intriguing ain’t it? Whichever way it may seem, undermining the potency of this façade of humanity is catastrophic.
